Mountain Biking
For those who want to get off-road, the Mt. Washington
Valley and surrounding western Maine area provides
beautiful scenic trails to explore. We are blessed with
not only the White Mountain National Forest to ride in,
but also numerous other public lands including The
Nature Conservancy's Green Hills Preserve, Echo Lake
State Park and Sebago Lake State Park, to name just a
few. Two nearby ski areas open in the summer to mountain
bikers who are looking for lift-serviced trails. When
staying at Peace With-Inn, you’ll find mountain biking
for every skill level, from family friendly loops to
single track. The idyllic and inspiring scenery of
lush farmlands and panoramic mountain views will leave
riders feeling like they shared in something special,
away from the masses, away from the chaos of busy lives.

Peace With-Inn is on a quiet country road only 3½ miles
from Fryeburg Maine and 7 miles from North Conway, NH.
When you stay with us, we’ll provide you the local scoop
about area mountain biking trails including detailed
maps and ride descriptions. Some local rides leave right
from the Inn’s front door and others start only minutes
away. Rides include dirt roads, double tracked
snowmobile trails and gnarly single track with granny
gear climbs and off-the-saddle descents. You might ride
past a winding river, a remote pond, a deep mountain
gorge or even the mysterious bubbling spring. A nice
bonus to riding in the Fryeburg area is the
relaxing flat cool-down at the end of each ride.
We also offer bike
rentals at the inn. If you plan to be on the road at
lunchtime, just let us know and we’ll send you off with
a lunch for the trail! And when you return our friendly
staff will provide you with a cold drink, a hose for
your muddy bike and more suggestions for tomorrow’s
ride.
